UAP or the United Architects of the Philippines is the Official Voice for Architects throughout the country. The UAP was formed through the “unification” of three architectural organizations: the Philippine Institute of Architects, The League of Philippine Architects and the Association of Philippine Government Architects. It became the Bonafide Professional Organization of Architects upon receiving Accreditation Number 001 from the Professional Regulations Commission. Thus, UAP was the first professional organization recognized by the Republic.
With the passing of the new architecture law or Republic Act No. 9266, UAP becomes the IAPOA or the Integrated Accredited Professional Organization of Architects.
UAP is composed of chapter organizations which help it implement its objectives. UAP Makati Chapter was one of the very first chartered chapters. Since being chartered in November 21, 1977, the Chapter has been led by 23 presidents, produced 5 national presidents and has had 5 members given the most prestigious award by the national organization, which is the Likha Award.
I am a member of the UPA since 1985 +/- . I have tried to contact the office eversince to renew or pay the dues in vail. I hope this time I will get some respond. Thanks.

I was a member of the Makati Chapter when I was residing in Manila year 2000-2001. I have since gone back to Kuala Lumpur Malaysia since 2002. Of late I came across an email from friends regarding the UAP California Chapter, of which Archt Eddie Quezon (my job captain in LVLocsin year 1980) is the present president. I have thoughts of establishing a Kuala Lumpur Chapter and wish to seek your kind guidance and assistance in making this come true. I have already gathered a number of our fellow kababayan architects who working here and are all enthusiastic of the idea. I kindly seek your advice.
